At our clinic, we use an intraoral x-ray to create digital images of your teeth instead of the old‑style impression trays and putty. It is a small handheld device that gently moves inside your mouth, capturing hundreds of detailed images in real time. A computer then combines these images into a precise 2D image of your teeth and gums.
This digital image helps us plan treatments like crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and other treatments with more accuracy. Since the scan is quick and non‑invasive, you avoid the gagging, discomfort, and unpleasant taste that some patients experience with traditional impressions.

Better fit, less adjustment: The scanner captures fine details, so your crowns, bridges, and aligners are more likely to fit well from the start.
More comfort: There is no need to hold trays full of soft material in your mouth for several minutes.
Smoother workflow: Digital images are ready immediately, which can reduce the number of visits and waiting time for some treatments.
Clearer understanding: You can see the 2D x-ray image on the screen, which makes it easier to understand how your treatment will look and feel.
We use an intraoral x-ray because it is a simpler, more predictable way to record your teeth and plan your care. It supports our goal of delivering accurate, comfortable, and efficient treatment while keeping the experience as relaxed as possible for you.
